The Slachiona Bean is a Traditional Agricultural Product (PAT) on the national list approved by the Ministry of Agriculture And Forestry, whose requirements are regulated by the production discipline of the Tuscany Region .
Features
The slachion bean is a white legume with a round and crushed shape.
Cultivation
It is seeded from mid-April to mid-May and the plant is indeterminate growth.
It has a production cycle of about 70-80 days, with scalar production.
It is very demanding of climatic conditions and, if they are no longer suitable, they negatively interfere with the binding and production.
The flower is white and the seed is about half the Spanish bean.
The seed is dried only for reproduction.
Legume with an exceptional flavor, with delicate, sweet pasta, and very fine skin but resistant to cooking.
It is only fresh.
Cook sit in 20-30 minutes.
It is cooked with the addition of odors, or to the bird.
It is also used for boiling.
